Hello, welcome to the PC world! Just got my used i7 8700 and noticed something odd in Windows—after the base clock speed of 3.20GHz appears, it’s followed by 3.19GHz. I checked with CPU-Z and it still shows 3.20GHz. Why the discrepancy? Please check the attached photo for more details. TIA.

Hello, thank you for your message. The screenshot I shared comes from the test video the seller provided. I already have the device with me, but I’m still waiting because I only have DDR3 RAM available. I’m hoping the 32GB 3200MHz RAM I ordered will arrive soon. Regarding the RAM, the i7-8700 model lists DRR4-2666MHz as its maximum under "Memory Types." My concern is whether it will actually reach that speed or if it will downclock to match the CPU’s limit. Thanks again!
