Hello everyone, good day. My download speed on Windows keeps decreasing to zero for certain apps. I can stream 4K YouTube without any issues, but when trying to download Ubuntu or update the Android SDK, the speed drops completely. I managed to get Ubuntu and Linux Mint on a Mac without this problem, and it doesn’t happen with Android, iOS, or iPadOS. I’ve been facing this problem on my Windows 10 for a while now. Thanks, King

What security software are you using? It seems like it might be something you could trigger.

Hello, no antivirus software is set up. I mainly get games from Steam and Epic Store. Besides games, I often download developer tools such as VSCode and Android Studio.

I purchased a Windows Home license believing it limited downloads, yet I keep facing this issue.

When the download slows down to nothing, other online tasks may still work. Yes, you can stream YouTube while downloading something that affects speed. The connection type doesn’t matter as much—wireless or wired works too.

I remain able to perform other tasks needing internet access, such as watching YouTube, browsing the web, and using social media. Testing with both Ethernet and wireless produced identical outcomes, dropping completely. I also purchased a Windows Home license in hopes it might be the issue, but the problem persisted. Reformatting my Windows did not resolve the situation.
