About a year ago, my laptop's download speed dropped from 3.5mb/s to 1.5mb/s. Back then I used Cox Wi-Fi which could reach up to 7-8mb/s. Switching to Verizon a few months ago didn’t improve things—even after upgrading to 200 Mbps, the speed stays at 1.5mb/s. It affects not just games but general downloads too. I’ve tested other devices on the same network and they perform better. Windows 10 updates are frequent, and my drivers are current. My Ethernet port is faulty; it stopped working after a brief use of an Ethernet cable. My machine is an MSI Ge75 Raider 9SE with a strong wireless 1550i and a powerful E2500 gigabit Ethernet controller.

Have you explored installing the standard Intel drivers instead of the Killer versions? It appears the Killer software often significantly reduces download speeds.

Get the Intel drivers from the provided link. Remove the unwanted WiFi program, restart your device, and then apply the newly downloaded drivers.

I chose to reset everything in the factory mode, and it resolved the problem. I restored most of my data using the cloud service.
