I recently assembled a gaming PC for the first time and everything worked perfectly. Windows is installed with all the latest drivers (checked on Asrocks). My motherboard is an Asrock B450M Pro4. I have 200mb/s internet, but my download speeds are only about 180mb/s when playing games on Xbox using the same Ethernet cable. Speedtest results show around 1mb/s on my laptop connected via Ethernet. Despite trying everything—new cable, driver reinstall, Windows reset, speed change, port switch, router restart—I still face these slow speeds. I’m eager to start playing tomorrow but am frustrated by the lack of progress. If anyone has faced this problem before, please help me resolve it. Thank you for your time.

I attempted twice—once from the asrocks page and again after reinstalling Windows—from the Realteks page.

Attempt to boot Ubuntu from a live USB and check the performance. This should help identify if the issue lies with software or hardware. Note that Windows Update may consume significant bandwidth, impacting speed tests—use Task Manager for better insights.

I made all the changes Windows asked for and got the same outcome. It’s probably not a software problem because I performed a complete reset, reinstalled it, and cleared everything from the system. The task manager is empty, and Performance Manager shows no bandwidth usage.

Starting from a running Ubuntu installation should assist in identifying the issue.

You can ask for clarification on how to proceed, and I’ll check if it’s safe. Just let me know the details!

Used TCP Optimizer from speedguide.net. Functioned effectively for me. https://www.speedguide.net/files/TCPOptimizer.exe

ASRock does not appear to offer a dedicated Internet Prioritization tool similar to ASRock XFast LAN. Their focus seems to be on hardware performance rather than network traffic management.
