I've installed a Ryzen 5 3600 on an ASUS Prime B450M-A II and noticed improved RAM speeds, but when I open the system settings I fall back to BIOS safe mode. The performance only appears at 2.333 GHz, even though my RAM is 3600 MHz.

Zen 2 operates best with DDR4 memory from Micron or Samsung, delivering strong performance at competitive rates. If it resets back to defaults, avoid enabling XMP and instead set the speed, CAS latency, and voltage manually, raising the voltage slightly above the listed value. If this fails, lower the clock speed to 3200MHz and concentrate on reducing CAS latency by adjusting timing parameters one digit at a time. Don’t alter advanced settings unless you’re confident.
