Earlier I posted about trying to improve my slow internet connection, which has been consistently around 15-17 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload for the last four years. It wasn’t until a couple of days ago, while adjusting my router settings, that I noticed a significant improvement in both download and upload speeds. Before: After: I managed this by disabling a setting on the Netgear interface. Now I’m still hoping the upload speed will keep rising. Could I try changing something in my computer or router settings to boost the upload even more? Thanks in advance.

Based on those speeds, it seems you're likely using Cable Internet (Coax). That's generally what most cable companies offer. The system usually has fewer upstream channels compared to downstream ones, which means upload speeds often lag behind. Typically, you'll find upload speeds ranging between 35-50 Mbps. Usually, the higher upload rates are reserved for premium tiers like Gigabit. I own Comcast (Xfinity) and have a 200/10 plan. Most of the time, I get around 260/12, which is quite solid.

What rates are you aiming for? If you're lucky, you might be connected to a fiber service in your area, which usually offers significantly higher speeds. However, if these are the speeds you're targeting, your best choice is to upgrade to a more expensive plan from your internet service provider.
