the process begins at 4 to 4.5 MB/S, then gradually decreases until reaching around 20 KPS, after which it jumps back up to 500 or 700 KPS before dropping again at 200 KPS. this pattern causes such a slow download speed even though the server changes. the speedtest.net reports 35 MP/S DOWNLOAD WHILE STEAM is downloading at 20 KP, and this issue occurred today after I restored my Windows 10 from a backup and reinstalled Steam.
If this applies, I'd reach out to your ISP to check for any problems with your node.
At that stage I believe the issue lies with the ISPs since it's unlikely it's your problem. Big internet providers often slow down connections significantly.
Are you uploading anything simultaneously? Are you streaming on YouTube, Twitch, or Netflix? Are other devices connected to your home network engaging in online activities? As mentioned, it might be your ISP, but I won’t exclude other possibilities that could be consuming bandwidth. Also, the reported speeds may not reflect reality. Let me check my peak download speed for this update.
Thank you for your assistance. The same issue occurs during downloads with Origin as well. What does "reset my router" mean? Should I unplug it from the wall and then plug it back in, or turn it off and then turn it on?
