Speed at which Steam downloads files
Hi, I believe there might be an issue with the download speed of Steam. It fluctuates between 50MB/s, 128MB/s, then drops to 0 and jumps back up to 128Mb. This is unusual, especially since my ISP doesn’t reach that speed. In Battle.net, it consistently reaches around 200MB/s. It’s interesting that with a 14900k modem I experienced much better speeds (even sending it back due to issues). Now with a 9800x3d model, my downloads are significantly faster—now around 9800x3d. Could this be related to the game unpacking process? Or is there another factor at play? I’ve tried reinstalling Windows, using different M.2 drives, and switching Steam servers, but nothing changed. My specs are: 9800x3d, 64GB RAM, M.2 card (WD Black SN850X), some Samsung 980 EVO, and my ISP supports up to 2500Mbps down and 2500Mbps up. Any suggestions?
