Switch the RAM slot, insert it into a different port, and verify it's correctly positioned
Attempted it, plugged RAM in one slot and none at all, moved GPU in and out, but the issue persists.
The prolonged continuous sound indicates a RAM problem, which shouldn't come as a shock given the specs for both RAM and CPU. These components aren't meant to work together. There are two significant problems with this DIMM unit. It's a registered ECC module, but the Intel Core i5-4570 doesn't support ECC. The Samsung PC3-8500R DIMM also runs at 1066 MHz, meaning the right replacement should be standard DDR3 1333 or 1600 as outlined in the CPU documentation.
