angerous, which has been getting some buzz. While watching Twitch and YouTube, I found both ED and Star Citizen intriguing. No Man's Sky is also on the horizon and seems promising. I've also heard about Eve:Valkyrie, though details are sparse. Have you guys played either of these? How do they stack up against each other? I've seen some comparisons, and it seems Star Citizen has an edge in dogfights but leans more toward exploration in ED. Regarding controls, I used to use a Microsoft Sidewinder ForceFeedback 2 for space sims, but it broke a few years back and now I'm looking for a replacement. What controllers are you using? Hey everyone, it's been a while since I've dived into space sims or combat games. Back then, I enjoyed playing Freespace and various Star Wars titles like X-Wing Alliance and the old X-Wing vs Tie-Fighter matches. But lately, I've drifted away from this genre. In my younger days, I tried some X games, but they didn't really capture my interest. Compared to those X games, Freespace feels more like a combat experience than a simulation like X. Star Citizen remains a distant goal from a final launch (I think the online persistent world won’t be available for another year or more), which means there’s not much to engage with just yet. (This hasn’t stopped me from investing more than I’d normally consider in its crowdfunding drive, but I’d advise caution before backing it.) I haven’t played ED or explored it deeply, yet because it’s a full game, it should offer a wide range of activities. No major complaints have come up so far, so I’m inclined to think it’s solid.
