Win7 includes 40GB plus personal files and appdata. That’s sufficient for a laptop with external or cloud storage for media.

You can easily choose a 250/256 GB SSD for a low price (-80 USD) whenever needed. A quick search shows Microsoft confirms similar requirements: 16 GB for 32-bit, 20 GB for 64-bit. Pick the size that suits you.
