Current feedback isn't very positive, seems like this section might be problematic. Have you given it a try?

Hey, the feedback for SP FBW seems quite positive, with most sites rating it an 8 or higher.

Checking Steam was a good idea, I was worried it might be terrible

I've always valued steam reviews with a strong, firm, solid pinch of salt. Others there will write harsh feedback for anything like my potato can't run this game, blaming the developers! I usually rely on kotaku or metacritic http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstati...-but-whole. This is for the PS4 release, but you can also look at the PC version on the same site. Another favorite of mine is early access or alpha releases—people love seeing bug reports, which always amuses me.

Absolutely, I agree. I also pay attention to review platforms, thinking they might be compensated by publishers. Thanks for mentioning Metacritic—it seems it reflects user ratings.

I haven’t paid much attention to reviews yet, but from watching a few livestream playthroughs I can figure out where the negative feedback comes from, and why I don’t care. The game isn’t just a “version 2” of the original, in the same style—it’s a totally new experience. It stays on the same “south park” map but with some tweaks. The storyline is something only South Park could come up with, and as expected from Ubishit, the game still has plenty of quirky bugs. You can expect a lot of social commentary, lots of obvious and subtle references, and another “what the hell” behind every door.

a steam review reflects a player's personal view, not a definitive guide for choices. but when many users highlight the same real problems—like "evel 5 has a savegame issue"—it can still provide useful insight.

I'm happy about this. Since there are bugs, I'll wait to buy it until more fixes are released. The same applies to the first one—Steam needs to improve its review system so people don't have to go through complicated steps just to see the genuine score.

That’s the problem with user reviews—it’s either a single choice or just a never-ending collection of opinions.

A solid argument—yet it’s important to consider multiple perspectives beyond just one platform. How long do game-breaking bug reports remain active after patches? Or think about reviews that get heavily downvoted for reasons like missing mod support, leaving a strong negative impression on potential players. This discussion could last for years, which is why I stick to my initial stance: take Steam reviews with a balanced view, weighing both sides.
