Sound spikes are happening along with screen glitches.
I assembled my PC about a year ago and have experienced problems after upgrading to a 4K screen. When I use the GPU—probably for decoding—I hear a clicking noise. It doesn’t seem connected to the headset, and I’m using direct audio from the motherboard. Also, with Gsync active, my display sometimes drops for a brief moment before coming back. My second monitor behaves the same without Gsync. This isn’t caused by cables; I’m currently using my third DP cable (DP 2.0 monoprice). Are these signs of a failing GPU? These issues don’t seem connected to other problems. I’ve already reinstalled drivers without success. Additionally, the popping is more noticeable with parsec and sonobus, and it disappears when I lower the bit rate in my headphones. My specs include an X570 AORUS PRO WIFI 3080 FE (new), AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, Thermaltake 750W (with external UPS), 32GB RAM, 3600Hz, and Corsair Vengeance. I’m really struggling and need guidance.
