Have you checked if your BIOS is up to date? 1.4 DRAM should not cause any issues.

Sure, but it doesn’t matter much—I could go back to Intel. I have 3600 RAM, but I can’t use it like that.

It's a tricky situation involving AMD, Intel, and motherboard partners. DOCP is ASUS's version of Intel XMP. You mentioned using an ASRock board and enabling XMP, but you noted differences—ASUS calls it XMP while Gigabyte refers to it as EOCP. TL;DR, I'm just checking if turning on XMP with one stick affects performance.

It seems unusual for this to occur, particularly in single-channel mode. Did you notice a crash before restarting? Was there an error message displayed?
