Sound of buzzing in the bass section.
Hey there! I'm experiencing some strange sounds when my system starts up. It's a low, rumbling noise that changes slightly every second. Despite everything running smoothly, it keeps happening regardless of the load. Here are the details: OS - Windows 11, 64x, full retail; CPU - Ryzen 7700; GPU - XFX RX 7900xt; RAM - G-Skill Trident Z5 Neo; Motherboard - MSI Pro B650-P; PSU - Seasonic Focus PX-850. Appreciate your help!
No, I don't have any storage devices. I use cloud-based services for data management.
You might need to handle driver issues carefully when taking your GPU out. Be mindful of potential problems with software compatibility or stability. It’s safer to double-check before proceeding.
It's quite typical for GPU coil whine. Check out some YouTube videos to hear it. If you're looking for solutions, there might not be much you can do.
I managed to identify and somewhat resolve the issue! It seemed unrelated to the GPU or PSU at first. The noise appeared only when I connected both front panel case fans via the fan controller included with the case. By skipping the controller and connecting the fans directly to the motherboard, the sound became much less noticeable but the pitch increased, making it more tolerable. It looks like the motherboard’s power distribution to the fans was causing this unusual buzzing, and using the built-in controller altered the frequency. This might help others facing similar problems, though I can only share my experience with a MSI Pro B650-P Wifi board and Fractal North fans. For a permanent fix, I might consider different fans later, but it’s working well now.
