Recently my speakers linked to my PC began producing some static sounds. For instance, while playing music, there would be a brief moment of static before everything resumed normally. I’m using Logitech Z533 speakers connected via my motherboard and an MSI PRO B760-P WIFI DDR4 system. I switched cables multiple times without success. The headphone jack on my case (Antec AX61 Elite) also didn’t help. I updated drivers for both the motherboard and the speakers through Device Manager, but the issue persisted. My laptop works fine with the same cables, and even my Bluetooth receiver and drum kit function properly. It seems the problem lies within my PC itself. Here’s my complete PC specification: https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/list/3QFXYd I added 32GB RAM on April 12 this year. The issue first appeared after a week-long vacation around May 23, and I temporarily fixed it by removing the speakers from Device Manager, but it returned.

Windows Update may change your audio drivers. Windows sometimes installs a driver meant for the motherboard model but doesn’t work properly. A few years back I thought my speakers stopped working after an update, so you might want to be careful with these changes. The 3.5mm jack connector could also be misaligned, leading to static issues. You may need to gently adjust the barrel connector for better contact.

You can run a basic test on the drivers and audio connector. Start with a Ubuntu live USB. Play your preferred music and notice any static. Similar to Windows, static indicates a hardware problem. Smooth playback suggests a software issue, possibly requiring a fresh Windows install or just updating the audio drivers. For hardware concerns, it might be a failing component like a chip or capacitor. It could likely be fixed if under warranty, otherwise you may need to repair it yourself. Let me know if this helps.

It seems you weren't directed to the official site. Instead, try visiting the manufacturer's page, selecting downloads, then drivers, and choosing the correct options. If you need further help, let me know.

Review the recent discussion; check the link provided. The latest Windows update could be responsible. Examine the update log from May 20 to 21 and consider reverting the driver. Realtek has faced problems previously.
