Hey there, I hope you're doing well. I've been facing a pretty strange issue lately, and my friends mentioned it to me. I'm not very familiar with these kinds of problems, so I'd really appreciate your help if you have a moment. Please let me know if you can take a look or give me more details. My writing isn't perfect yet, but I'm trying my best.

The problem started about a week ago. Everything worked fine before, but now my games keep freezing completely—especially in titles like GW2 or CS:GO. I have to force restart the computer, which then causes Steam to fail to recognize certain games, like CS:GO.

At first, I thought it might be a headset issue with connectivity problems. I've tried using different headsets and ports, but the crashes still happen. I suspect it's related to audio, because just before the crashes, I'd notice no sound for about 20 seconds. I also heard something about a Windows update a few weeks back that might have affected headsets and other devices. I realized I probably didn't install the latest updates, which could be a factor.

My setup is pretty old, so it might also be due to worn-out components. I have a motherboard from Foxconn, a graphics card from GF 9500, Intel core i2 quad 8200, 4GB RAM, and a Logitech headset. The OS is Windows 10 (educational version). I recently overclocked my GPU, but after the crashes. I'm using TimerResolution, which might be causing some issues.

Possible fixes I've tried: reinstalling games and resetting the PC. Thanks in advance for any advice or feedback!

Verify your temperatures. It doesn’t seem like a headset problem, but rather something related to file loading or video rendering. Also consider running a memtest, as it might be the cause of loading issues.

Thanks for the update. Your performance metrics look solid—GPU stays cool at 55°C, CPU reaches a strong 50°C, and memory tests show no issues. Consider checking cooling solutions, ensuring proper airflow, or reviewing workload distribution if temperatures rise further.

To check your headset assumptions, simply play without the device connected. Observe any changes and we can proceed from there.

I checked playing without the headset, but the game still crashes regardless.

It seems your GPU is underpowered and quite old. You might want to consider upgrading to something like a GT 1030, which is affordable yet offers significantly better performance. It could boost your system by around 700%. If you're starting fresh, a Ryzen APU would also be a solid choice. I tried to fix it but realized it was just outdated hardware.
