Hello, I'm new here and writing this for the first time. I'm having trouble with my sound card setup on a GNU/Linux system. The system recognizes it but I can't hear anything, and I'm unable to set it up for 5.1 analog mode. Someone, could you help or suggest some tutorials? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Sure, try adding pavucontrol; it will provide additional choices beyond the standard tool.

Hi! Your fix for the Sound Blaster Z is already in kernel 4.18 and later. To play sound, you’ll likely need to upgrade to that version using available .deb packages. I can also share a dkms I created if you tell me your current kernel release. Running 'uname -a' will show your kernel details. Updating the kernel is probably the simplest solution. Let me know!

Certainly, ensure your kernel is up to date. For Ubuntu users, refer to Ukuu: https://github.com/teejee2008/ukuu
