I tried to set up a Hackintosh for our family computer. Besides me and my dad, everyone in the house was used to iMacs and macOS. Since it became outdated, I decided to build one myself instead of spending over $5000 on another machine. My build features an i5 quad-core processor and a GTX 1050 graphics card. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out as planned—I ended up installing Windows 10 so the kids could use it. I attempted to run it in VMWare Workstation, but it was unstable and slow. I’m wondering if there’s a way to switch between Windows and macOS without dual-booting or rebooting? Something that lets each user have their own OS while still connecting seamlessly. I remember when signing in as different family members, the system would automatically launch the right desktop environment. Would anyone have experience with this kind of setup?

You're going to be locked out. Apologies, but the team is quite strict about Hackintosh discussions. Best of luck!

It seems you were surprised by how taken seriously the topic was. Let's explore a comparable issue between Windows 10 and Linux. Actually, that was the point I was trying to convey...

Because this discussion was set up for Hackintosh, you'll need to create a separate thread focused on Linux. Understandable, but that's the usual setup.
