Over the last few months on Google I've observed this behavior: whenever I click a link in a search result, it opens TabSearch.net and redirects to a Yahoo search. My Google has also slowed down. I noticed this might be a virus after checking it up close, as it keeps redirecting me multiple times—1 to 5 attempts—before letting me in. It also causes random lag spikes in Chrome. Edit: I'm really interested in this.

If you suspect a virus is present, you should employ some software to eliminate it.

No success, it isn't detecting anything. Windows Defender and Malwarebytes aren't working.

Verify the standard options for Google search. It might be a clusterphuck in the configuration—consider resetting everything to the default settings.

I've already tried that too, sorry for not explaining. I keep removing Yahoo as an option but it reappears in a few hours.

Consider trying Avast Free. I've noticed it detects viruses that Windows Defender and Malwarebytes miss.

Consider using another browser or an incognito window. Verify the add-ons you have installed, as they might have interfered.

I received a warning from MalwareBytes after what felt like hours (15 minutes, honestly) — it said 18... just 18... @Needfuldoer

The issue stems from ADWARE.Hijacker.SD. The file location may indicate how it arrived, and you can take steps to avoid it next time.
