I've been working with Sony Vegas 12 Pro for some time now and it works well for simple edits. However, the preview screen has been lagging since I started using it. I noticed others with lower specs seem to handle it smoothly. My system includes an AMD FX-8320 OC, R9 290, and a fast RAM setup. People with less memory or weaker processors often report no issues. Could you share any tips or solutions? Thanks!

It seems the videos aren't being saved to RAM, which is likely leading to delays.

Adjust your preview options to a lower setting. I'm currently viewing "Good --> Full." Higher quality previews cause more delay. (I'm using an FX-8350 at 4GHz anyway)

Do you have uncompressed files? Your storage might be reading slowly.
