Hello everyone, I need your assistance in identifying the cause of these random BSODs. They appear only when booting up, especially right before logging into my Windows user account. It seems to occur a few times every couple of weeks. My computer powers on roughly twice or sometimes three times daily—first fully shutting down, then restarting a few hours later. On average, I spend about three hours per session. I play games such as COD, MW2019, Forza 4, Battlefield 4, and For Honor. The PC never blue-screens while gaming. I also do some video editing in Premiere Pro, and I haven’t experienced any BSODs during rendering. Could there be any underlying issues? I recently installed a fresh Windows version in May on an Adata SU800 128GB SSD that’s three years old. Is it possible the Windows update might be corrupted? I don’t recall any previous BSODs before this installation, though I might be mistaken.
PC specs: Ryzen 5 2600 @ stock, -0.05V core offset, auto SoC voltage, MSI B450 Tomahawk 16GB (2x8GB), 3200MHz CL16, Corsair RGB Pro - XMP enabled at 1.35V DRAM voltage, Asus RX 470 4GB Seasonic S12ii, 520W, 80+ Bronze (flat black cables).
It probably relates to XMP settings. The chip supports only 2933mhz on the CPU memory controller, while the motherboard offers higher speeds. The GPU will use the lowest common denominator. You might need to tweak the SOC voltage slightly. A good way to check is enable XMP and manually set it to 2933mhz, run the system for a few weeks, and observe if crashes appear. Alternatively, try increasing the SOC voltage and see if that resolves the problem.
