Sometimes I stutter while playing games, and this happens to me even without a computer screen showing up.
Hey, I am having some bad speech problems right now. I haven't changed a single thing on my computer for the last year... First, I thought it might be the game I'm playing after the update came out last week, but no, I was getting these stutters even on desktops. The whole screen freezes, the mouse stops moving, and even the sound just freezes for a second depending how long the stutter lasts and then goes back to normal. I never had this problem before and really I can't figure out what it could be. I checked my hard drives and they turned out fine after running the test command. The only thing I noticed is that when the stutter happens, the computer's CPU usage spikes for just a moment and then goes back to normal. I even changed my stable 5.1GHz processor down to 4.7 thinking it might be an overclock, but I am getting the exact same issue. I need help because this is really bothering me as I play many competitive games based on how I feel and when the stutter happens, I just wanna die (in the game...heh...) Set your mouse to 500 hz and see if it helps. I heard Microsoft is having trouble with high polling rates on mice, causing stuttering and lag spikes in games and windows. If this fixes the problem, just watch out for new Windows updates that might fix things soon. Good Luck!
