duh. okay so.. I installed Win 10 recently, installed Steam today, all drivers up-to-date, all fine... Suddenly when I decided to run PAYDAY 2 and play a little, THIS started to happen: i will not say anything else than I already updated gpu drivers and idk what truly could be a problem? this is 100th problem about performance since I moved from Windows 7 to Windows 10 only few days ago.. I'm not really getting along with 10. however, any solution? I'm very desperate about this since this is only one of the problems in a row so far

I notice the issue clearly. It slows significantly when transitioning between areas and when other players are around. This could stem from various factors—such as network speed on either side, or Windows 10 consuming system resources by frequently transmitting NSA data like vacation photos.

The FPS counter fluctuates between 15 and 40 frames per second. CPU and GPU activity (if displayed) vary between 20 and 40% utilization. Please share your computer's specifications—model, processor type, GPU details, and RAM amount—to better assist.

I guided the process step by step. I ensured a proper cleanup before installing Windows 10.

Try reinstalling Windows again—it might resolve the issue. Also, check if it works with other titles or just Payday-only games.

I didn't experience problems with all games. I tried Cuisine Royal, Fortnite, and GTA San Andreas Multiplayer with friends. After reinstalling Windows 10, I noticed some performance changes. Most results were good, but I was disappointed by a specific issue. In fact, I adjusted certain settings in the Nvidia Control panel to improve performance for some titles. It seems this adjustment might have helped with PAYDAY 2, which ran smoothly after the Windows 10 upgrade.
