So I was checking out ASUS's ROG site and got bored, so I looked at world record overclocking. I saw that image after clicking "world records" and it really confused me. How could someone run two Xeons with multipliers locked without overclocking them? I don’t have any overclocking experience, but I know that Xeons with a 2 in front of their numbers (like 2689 v3) have their multipliers fixed. Can someone clarify this confusing situation before it gets too wild?

They're just slightly overclocked, he increased the FSB by 5, resulting in about 180MHz above standard turbo rates. Those components can only handle 2 threads at that frequency, not 16.
