This guy does, and here's to hoping some of you do to! Seems like there has been little bit of interest to get this restarted. Just earlier today I had a successful overclock session with the 9600KF rig and got my single core result a bit higher than ever before. Let's see what you got people. Same rules as before: I know we have done this before, and that got mucked up, but I'd really like to see how the newest generations of intel / AMD processors have changed the compute processing power landscape. Lets stay respectful and see what ya got! If you've got some of the newer processors in particular, I am interested in your results. But all are welcome to complete. Except old and slow laptops, for obvious reasons. Very simple, run the CPU z "bench" tab and post that screenshot here - included in the snip should be the initial tab for system spec. Your result should look nearly identical to what I have listed below... Thanks! You can compete for single or multi core results Latest results from my 9600KF rig, and please follow this layout with your submission....

That's correct. I'm planning to increase the challenge now. Avoid posting once the base clock exceeds 100.81.

You need to keep things cool. That means protecting your motherboard from heat. It’s best in winter when dew points are low and the furnace works nonstop. I gave up after it really damaged my OS a few times. (Really) It reminds me of those old Via chipsets on socket 462. You couldn’t upgrade without an NF2 chipset. Haha.

Test it with me... 16 core Xeon e5-2690 v2. I'll share a screenshot soon. EDIT: My single thread isn't that strong, but multi-threaded performance shines. If you're curious, these are two 8-core processors in an HP z620 workstation. The second CPU plus four extra RAM sticks sit on a large motherboard above the first one. The cooler on the board isn't great, and the second CPU lags about 6% because it throttles to stay cool. Each chip runs at 8 cores with 16 threads at speeds of 2.9-3.8 GHz. Both sockets match exactly, so no extra screenshots needed. Quad channel memory is actually a misconfiguration—I have 8x4GB (confirmed by Speccy and Task Manager). This setup is built for multithreaded tasks, which is why it works well for rendering. Let me know if you need more details!
