The pause menu is only half as challenging as the game itself. That means I could either play the game or run two games at once, both paused and idle. Edit: I adjusted the frame limiter to 60 and it resolved the issue.

I haven't encountered any titles that need half the CPU to display the pause menu. Particularly in single-player games where nothing is active while paused.

The pause screen seems to operate near 292 fps too, could that be the reason? Have you ever used Anthem?

Someone on Reddit assisted me, and I adjusted the frame limiter to 60, which resolved the issue. Lol
