Hello everyone. I have two libraries set up—one for games played most often on an SSD, and another for games I play less frequently on an HDD. Recently, I installed a new drive (ST3000DM008) to use as a Steam and Origin library storage. I had a slow 500 GB drive with these libraries, and moved them over to the new drive. I’m struggling to figure out how to transfer my owned games onto the new drive. When I try to connect Steam to point to the existing library on the new drive, it displays an error like "The destination folder must be empty." I understand I can download to my usual C:/program files (x86) or similar, but that feels inefficient. I’m not sure if Steam Mover is the best option. Could anyone help me get Steam to download games to a different location on this new drive? Thanks in advance.

If you have a specific Steam games folder, arrange it with a steamapps folder, then in the latter, establish at least two subfolders—"common" and "downloading"—and move all your games into the common one. Then direct Steam to point to the base folder that comes before the steamapps folder. If any issues arise, instruct Steam to install the affected game on that drive so it can detect and scan for files.

For Origin, there is an available feature in certain games that allows locating the game, and I will include a few screenshots.
