Sorry if I shared this with the incorrect section.
At first, I have a 21:9 monitor labeled "Ultrawide" with a native resolution of 2560 x 1080. It contains more horizontal pixels than the standard 1920 x 1080 16:9 monitor.
When I turn on my PC, the desktop appears fine with no distortion. I launch GTA V using its native resolution (2560 x 1080) and then switch to a 1920 x 1080 resolution, adjusting the aspect ratio. The display looks severely distorted, but I believe this can be resolved.
I accessed the Nvidia Control Panel, set the scaling to "Aspect Ratio" and chose "GPU." The adjustment helped. I restart the game, and the image now appears normal, matching what would be seen on a 1920 x 1080 monitor.
However, the problem resurfaces during missions and cutscenes: suddenly, two black bars appear without reason. I attempted a restart of the game, PC, and even tried downloading "Flawless Widescreen," a tool with a plugin for fixing aspect ratio issues, but it didn’t resolve the issue.
I returned to the game and restarted the cutscene, and if I adjusted my resolution during it, the bars disappeared. Pressing Alt + tab out of the game also had the same effect. Resizing my desktop didn’t help either.
This is really frustrating.
There’s a video available showing those black bars appearing and reducing the aspect ratio.
Pause at 0:07. After adjusting video settings, the problem is fixed.

Hi,
Did you end up finding a solution? I know your post is old but I'm so screwed I have the same issue with my 32:9 resolution and I can't find anything about it. Flawless Widescreen doesn't work even with the new plugin.
