I encountered an unusual issue with my computer after updating the new NVidia DCH drivers. Everything seemed fine initially—control panel opened, panels functioned properly, and other modern applications worked. However, after a restart, the control panel failed to appear. I made sure DDU was installed and checked everything thoroughly; the control panel now appears as a modern app. All other programs run smoothly, and Afterburner recognizes the correct driver version. It’s only the control panel that remains unresponsive. After switching to non-DCH drivers, everything worked without issues, and the control panel even opened faster.

Personally, I’m not sure if installing DCH drivers is worth it anymore, especially since I’ve already tried and found it problematic. The DCH driver offers no advantages. It seems confusing why you need to install the nvidia control panel from the MS store with it—I’m unsure. I usually just use the driver that isn’t DCH.
