You're still using Windows 7, which is the final version you've ever planned to use. Downgrading to Windows 10 isn't an option for me, and I won't change it anytime soon. My plan is to move to Linux eventually.

Yes, I secured wins on 7 and 8.1 with the disabled WU settings.

Primarily no, but I keep a couple old Win98 desktops bumping around for messing around with that era of software. For those who say you shouldn't because security reasons I think it might be worth keeping in mind that some people use old stuff for production reasons. My uncle is still on W7 and will probably stay there even after support ends, since he pretty much only uses the PC as a audio production rig (he's a big music gear and sound guy). As long as the stuff he has works, there's no reason to upgrade. Also let's be honest, the sort of security risk you are vulnerable to from having an old OS is pretty much nothing compared to the fact that a lot of us don't have a proper anti-virus lol
