I was searching my system for old files and found a device named Austin. When I refreshed, it vanished. After a pause and another refresh, it reappeared, displaying a Mac address. I checked Microsoft forums and noticed similar issues with various Mac addresses. Please review the discussion and share your thoughts. Click previous to view the thread start.

It has a network discovery icon, possibly indicating a device connected to your home Wi-Fi. You might be able to ping it if someone has access to the network.

It doesn’t respond to pings, suggesting it’s embedded in Windows. The shared names appear with varying MAC addresses. I disabled the MAC on my router but it kept showing up.
