they’re indeed better when played on a couch than in a desk setup; a PC still works well, especially with mods enhancing the experience. The community adds a lot of value through hacks, and there’s no official support from developers. This game feels more suited to sports titles like FIFA, MLB, or NBA, where local multiplayer is a big draw. While you can play those on PC too, the main appeal lies in that local play feature, which is largely unsupported there due to the developers’ approach.

Star Wars Battlefront and Battlefront 2 are nearly ten years old. Multiplayer is largely inactive on consoles, though the PC version still functions with mod support and a strong community. This franchise comes from Bad Company 2-Hardline. The control system feels more natural, and there was 32/64 player server support before the console release. This applies to many titles including L4D, L4D2, The Orange Box, Portal 2, CS GO, GTA, and more. Essentially, you can connect your PC to a TV via HDMI, use any headset or controller, and play as if it were a console.

Spy Fox navigates the skies of Skyrim while playing Team Fortress 2, specifically in the Dry Cereal map.

They all have their pros and cons. Mods, varied inputs, graphics, higher FPS, refresh rate, resolution, etc. I’m thinking about bringing my PC over to the couch and using a controller. Honestly, couch gaming feels best for racing and fighting games. Unity also performs poorly on consoles, though the community has already updated Watch Dogs. I don’t know what you’re upset about. This isn’t about a direct battle between PC and console—it’s about how each platform feels. It doesn’t matter if people can’t afford a PC; that’s not the main point here. Generally, all games shine on PC unless a developer makes a mess, but usually it gets patched or fixed by the community.

You can run most of these modern games smoothly on an older setup. A GTX 460 from 2010 paired with an i7-920 from 2008 should handle 30 frames per second at 1080p with Xbox One configurations.
