Hi, I have a query for Mame specialists. It seems ROMs for certain Sega consoles (Model 2, Model 3, Naomi, etc.) aren't loading in Mame, even with the newest release. This is unexpected since these platforms run smoothly on other emulators like Model 2 Emulator or Supermodel. Naomi and Dreamcast are quite similar, and Dreamcast emulation is now quite solid. Systems from the same generation by Capcom and Namco appear to be fairly well supported by Mame developers. I’m curious about the technical reasons behind this difficulty with some Sega boards. Any insights would be appreciated? Thanks!

It might simply stem from inadequate setup of specific arcade boards. Models 2, 3, and NAOMI are probably not as thoroughly examined in MAME compared to systems like CPS2 or the Namco System 22.
