Some random Battlefield 4 frames from the 20s era.
So... after a few months of not playing Battlefield 4, I wanted to try my new 144hz monitor out. Every now and then I get some serious framedrops into the 20's without a reason. My GPU load goes nuts. I know this is a known problem, is there any fix for it yet? This both happend on my R9 290 and now on my brandnew 980Ti.
Checking the typical operating temperatures for those CPUs. The 5930K usually runs between 45°C and 65°C under load, while the 980Ti tends to peak around 70°C to 85°C during intensive tasks.
Are there problems with the driver? Could another program be causing interference? Is there possible malware present? It might also be due to an incorrect setting in the BIOS.
It seems like the discussion is focused on a common frustration with V-sync versus G-sync on certain monitors. The person is pointing out that ignoring this issue is similar to dismissing concerns about performance metrics on expensive hardware. They’ve already addressed the topic in the thread and tried various solutions.
