Are you planning to utilize every RAM slot or keep it simple with two sticks? Remember, standard motherboards like A1, A2, B1, and B2 are built for dual A2 and B2 configurations, but mixing them with other combinations can cause issues in many systems.

They seem a bit messy. Since you have two 2x2 sets, you only have 4GB, but putting all four together would be 8GB.

Are they identical sets? Or distinct ones? If they differ, you need to isolate them in A2 B2 and A1 B1 and restart the bios.

Additionally, the dimming ports connect three dimmers, one closest to the CPU and another farthest.

Even with just one stick connected to the PC in dimms 1 or 3, the output remains inactive.

Only the first and second units are active right now. I'm reinstalling the old CPU now to check compatibility with the other boards, then cleaning the contacts on the 2600 and see if that helps.

With the older CPU, all four function properly.

After wiping the contacts on the 2600, the 1 3 error keeps appearing even when the CMOS battery is removed. This happens regardless of the situation.

Would signal a faulty processor. One of the connections is not working on the i7 2700.
