I've set up the Vulkan shortcut for Doom with my 1060 and it launches smoothly. It only ran for about 30 seconds, so I'm unsure about its stability. I didn't compare performance or anything, but it managed to hit 60 Hz with VSync.

I recall the game starting, yet it actually uses OpenGL even if Vulkan wasn’t chosen, and there’s no indication it was ever activated for Nvidia cards.

Sure, I've thoroughly investigated it. Are there any methods to verify its effectiveness?

No problem. Smooth performance at 1440p with 100 frames per second, no stuttering or delays.
