Games runs smoothly across various settings, especially with ultra resolution and high refresh rates. However, activating the shadow effects causes delays of 10 to 30 seconds, likely when switching scenes. The Vulkan mode doesn’t start properly at all. Do you have any tips or solutions for these problems?
I suspect Vulkan's behavior is tied to the 1070 and driver compatibility issues. It's possible shadow problems could also play a role. I don't want to speculate too much since both my and my brother's systems use AMD graphics cards. Edit: How does CPU utilization change during stuttering?
There’s no hesitation—just a complete and permanent halt without any warning before it completely stops. It freezes before MSI afterburner even registers. For non-extreme settings (everything as high as possible except the worst cases), it runs perfectly, with no stuttering or interruptions. I’m using an i5 4440, and I’m limited to around 60 FPS, but I’m not sure if that’s a problem.
I’m hesitant about upgrading because of the recent driver issues, though I think they’ve been fixed, but I’ll give it a shot. As for Vulkan, it seems to be completely unavailable right now.
According to my knowledge, Vulkan isn't available for Nvidia yet.
