hi, I visited here because I am really in need of help. this is the problem: I have a pretty good setup (Ryzen 5 5600x, RTX 3060 ti, 16 gb 3600mhz ram). i've tried everything possible but still can't fix it. games keep having stuttering issues, and i already did all the usual fixes... I changed all my parts of the pc. nothing worked. i had an rtx 3050 before. then i upgraded to a new RTX 3060. then i tried an older one (rtx 2060). now i have a 3060 ti, but it's not working either. so the problem can't be my video card. here is everything I already did: I formatted the computer and put win11 on. I updated all drivers from both windows update and driver booster. I optimized the pc again. I updated the bios. i changed almost every single part of the hardware, including the monitors. my fps crashed completely. i turned on vsync and gsync to help stability. I changed my mouse configuration: Ryzen 5 5600x, RTX 3060 ti, XPG CORE REACTOR 650W power supply, Gigabyte B550M DS3H motherboard, 16 gb of RAM at 3600mhz with dual channel support, a ssd nvme drive with 500gb storage, and a benq xl2540k monitor that has a 240hz refresh rate. the temperatures are all okay: cpu max is 64g and gpu max is 65w. yes, i've tried many kinds of drivers and even put several modified versions of windows. none solved one thing. looking at this closely, when a game crashes, the usage of the gpu drops a bit along with the watts of the card. for example: it used to be at 97% usage and 180w power, but suddenly it dropped down to 70% usage and 140w power. right there is this lock-up happening in several games: csgo lot, valorant lot, fifa 22 lot, warzone little, minecraft little, rainbow six little.
Welcome to the forums! Newcomer, did you use DDU to remove all GPU drivers? Then did you manually reinstall the newest ones from Nvidia's support site using an elevated command like Right-clicking the installer and choosing Run as Administrator? (Also check Windows Update and Driver Booster). Please avoid third-party apps for downloading or installing your drivers. It is better to manually get the right drivers for your setup and install them with elevated privileges.
