My machine occasionally fails to power on. This happened roughly three to four weeks back, with the computer shutting down instantly. I believed I resolved it by using a different power cable for the GPU—though I made a mistake by connecting it to the same port with a split. After thinking it was fixed, the problem reappeared a few days later. Now sometimes I try turning it on and it just doesn’t activate. After pressing the power button, nothing happens; after a few tries, it might work briefly. The machine is about 1.5 years old, and the GPU was installed ten months ago. What should I do? I haven’t received any help on Reddit when I shared my issue. Remove the 3070 and use the integrated GPU. Update the firmware for the 980 as well. They commit suicide with outdated software.
