I have an ASUS X670-E motherboard that seems to behave oddly. Everything is installed properly and it powers on, but the issue begins during startup. The CPU fans increase to maximum, the POST process starts, it stays on the DRAM diagnostic light for a while before clearing, then the fans return to normal speed and it boots into Windows. I’m trying to figure out what’s wrong—should I reset the CMOS? Is a different RAM setup needed? I purchased this board from eBay, it was tested and working. I realize I likely should have cleared the CMOS before building, but time constraints made it a last-minute decision. I’ve been using this PC for about two weeks now, not playing much intense games—just FFXIV, WoW, VR, and Borderlands. The full boot sequence from power on to the Windows lock screen is attached below. Specifications are listed as provided.

It's actually quite typical.

It remains consistent regardless of EXPO or XMP settings, whether enabled or disabled.

You're in the AM5 section, right?

It does, I've experimented with it occasionally to refine my approach.

After further investigation, does the QVL for your motherboard relate to the issue? I checked my current RAM model, but it wasn’t found. It was briefly mentioned that untested non-QVL RAM might be the cause.

You remain uncertain about any real concerns. The video you presented and your description of it as the standard boot sequence for AM5 processors are accurate.

As an addendum, I've compared my friends system to mine and hers boots a lot faster than mine does. She has the exact mobo but different RAM. I know it's probably normal for that long of a post/boot but something feels off about what my PC is doing

Yes, the AM5 version tends to be slower compared to the AM4 version.
