I meant the channel next to the CPU is labeled as the first slot. This matches what you showed in your diagram.
Did you perhaps reattach all your connectors after relocating your PC? It seems like the pins might have shifted or not seated fully.
Yes. But a lot of newbies get confused. So 1, 2, 3, 4, is a lot easier for them!
They mentioned placing them in the incorrect compartment when the correct one was available, which would also mix things up, wouldn't it? Instead of vague explanations, a clear statement like "correct compartments, incorrect names" would help.
It would simplify things if slots were numbered starting from the CPU side, going 1-2-3-4 across all motherboard makers.
