I've faced this problem for a long time and still can't figure it out. Finally, I reached out for help.
I was using a Logitech wireless mouse that I liked, but it began to malfunction. I switched to another model from Technit, which didn't work well either—it started acting up like the original Logitech. I'd replace them when they stopped working properly.
Over time, the Logitech mouse would behave oddly, such as pausing and moving when dragging a straight line. Recently, I decided to go back to a wired mouse, but it also had issues.
I also use a Wacom tablet, but nothing changes when I unplug it.
I'm wondering if a virus or something similar could be affecting all mouse activity, especially if it gets worse over time. Sometimes it returns to normal after a few days.
I'm a bit confused here.
By the way, the Wacom works perfectly on my system.
Windows 10 64 bit.

It might be a virus, a faulty driver, or even your mouse pad or surface. Have you looked into those as well?

I don't rely on a mouse mat and the surface remains consistent with what I've used before. The problem is only a few months old.

Yes, I began using a mouse pad and it provided some improvement, though I've since needed to switch to a wired mouse.
