I'm facing an issue I'm unable to resolve by myself. This problem began today, and I haven't made any recent changes, so I'm unsure where to begin searching. A few Google searches didn't help much. When idle, about 8GB of RAM is being used. In Task Manager, the total visible RAM seems close to zero. Opening all applications gives only around 4GB, which feels normal, but the actual usage isn't showing. After turning off startup apps and restarting, 5GB remains, yet Task Manager still doesn't display the correct figures. The images I've attached show my RAM usage with typical applications running.

It indicates you're using 7.3GB of cached data and has committed it elsewhere. Are there additional GPUs in your system besides the Nvidia one, and is the integrated GPU already fully utilized at 100%? You might have excess DRAM allocated to the integrated GPU through your BIOS settings.
