Laptop model:
Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ARH05 is running Windows 10.
I’m experiencing a difficult problem with my laptop keyboard: several keys are stuck and aren’t responding properly. Here’s the complete situation:
Problem
:
Keys S, F, D, J, K, L, the Windows key, and some numpad buttons are malfunctioning.
When I press these keys, they either repeat (for example, typing "s" shows "ss") or fail to register at all.
The Windows key sometimes doesn’t work properly (not physically stuck), which leads other key presses to activate Windows shortcuts (like pressing "D" triggers Win+D).
This isn’t a physical issue – the keys feel normal, there’s no stickiness or debris.
The problem appears in all applications (Notepad, games, browsers, etc.).
What I’ve tried
:
I reinstalled Windows 10 completely but it didn’t fix anything.
I reset the keyboard drivers in Device Manager (uninstalled and restarted) – no improvement.
Disabled Sticky Keys in Windows settings didn’t help.
Tested with an on-screen keyboard – it works perfectly, no issues.
Minimal cleaning was done using a piece of paper to clear dust from the keyboard, but I haven’t removed any keys or performed a deep clean.
Checked for overheating – CPU/GPU temperatures remain between 65-70°C under load, no concerns.
I haven’t tried BIOS or Linux yet but would consider it if recommended.
Additional info
:
The issue began while playing a game.
No liquid spills or physical damage to the laptop were observed.
It seems unlikely to be hardware-related since the on-screen keyboard functions correctly, though I’m uncertain.
Have others encountered this problem, particularly with Lenovo laptops? Could it be related to a keyboard controller, firmware, or another factor? Any advice for further troubleshooting (such as BIOS testing, Linux boot, specific drivers) or possible solutions would be appreciated?
Thank you very much for your assistance.

Connecting an external keyboard does not resolve the issue.
