Your PC functioned well until recently when the graphics card stopped working during Chrome use. You replaced it with an RTX 2070 and later added a spare R7 250X for backup. Everything worked again, though the R7 250X didn’t get power anymore. Now your new GPU isn’t responding at all, so your system won’t output anything to the displays. Your hardware specs are outdated, and it seems the PSU might have failed despite previous advice. You may need to check the PSU connection or consider a more robust power supply for future upgrades.
Your PSU might be okay right now, but PSUs can fail over time and using a low-cost one could damage your whole system.
2070 works well with a good 500W power supply. I've used powerful GPUs such as 980 Ti on a 450W system like the Corsair CX450. Sometimes unexpected issues during startup might just be random glitches. Make sure you didn’t adjust any connections and that all necessary components are properly plugged in. Give it a bit more time, as figuring out hardware changes can take a while.
It seems like the power unit is malfunctioning. I’d replace it and verify the issue. If that doesn’t resolve it, you can return it or use another system if available.
I'm not sure what adjustments I made; everything looks correct, but the GPU still can't get power.
They typically include overcurrent protection to prevent damage to your GPU. Would you like me to try using a different PCIe slot on the motherboard instead? Or if it’s a modular PSU, could I swap the PCIe cable with another one or use a different power port?
