Game performance wasn't using my full GPU last year, but recently I've seen lower FPS in some titles. After running MSI Afterburner during playtime (BF1, League of Legends, CS:GO, etc.), I noticed minimal GPU activity—around 15 to 40%. My specs are a CPU, AMD FX 8320-E, M.2 ASUS M5A78L-M Plus with USB 3, RAM Hyper X 8GB 1600MHz, SSD 240GB, and a new Seagate SSD for games. I've adjusted my NVIDIA control panel settings multiple times, restarted the PC about four times, but nothing changed. I suspect the issue might be with my PSU—it's rated at 500W, which seems low for my setup. It’s a cheap model I bought three years ago, and I didn’t think much of it back then. Could it be the power supply? I’m considering replacing it with another model, such as the COUGAR VTE 600 80+. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked your drivers and considered tracking your GPU usage with a tool?

I'm not sure what "dduing your drivers" refers to, so I'll jump straight into it. Let's move fast.

Use DDU to remove the drivers and later restore them.

Switch to a subpar power source instead of opting for a worse one. Avoid purchasing that Cougar fire cracker.

Sure, happy to help! Let me know how you'd like it rephrased.

Be quite cool, check out Beast Mode or Corsair Vengeance LP for a great 650 W option.

Have you experimented with Afterburner's overlay to track CPU and GPU performance during gaming? Could multiple cores hit full capacity?

Cx650 MWE 650 appears to be a bit pricier, though it offers some advanced features compared to the Cx model. It still performs well overall.

TXM 550W or Master Cooler MWE Gold 550W model consumes only about 300W during peak performance tests
