I don't have personal preferences, but users often recommend extensions like uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger for Microsoft Edge.

Install Chrome or Firefox right away. Edge doesn't work well.

You mentioned something about a previous post on another thread, but there was a typo and I ended up back at the start. Let me know what you'd like to discuss next!

I operate with two browsers; I rely on Torch—a customized Chrome version that provides better performance features like faster downloads—when handling heavy multitasking with numerous tabs, followed by MS Edge for quicker access and smoother operation.

Adblock plus soon offers an alternative focus. You may be interested in blocking all popups, similar to what you can do in IE. Adjust the settings under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppContainer\Storage\microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\MicrosoftEdge\New Windows. Set the DWORD value to 32bit and enable BlockControls 1, plus BlockUserInit 1 to restrict popups from user actions. It’s a step toward a better browser, though more development is needed.
