Hey, on my Ryzen 5 3600 I noticed inconsistent temperature readings. (Not all at once.) In Ryzen Master it's around 35-40°C idle, NZXT CAM shows 50 and even 60°C idle. RM says the clock drops below 1000MHz when idle, but NZXT CAM claims it stays above 3.6GHz and boosts even then. Are these tools off? What's really going on? I'm using the Ryzen Balanced power plan.

Ryzen Master displays real per-core CPU clock rates as they shift automatically, coming straight from the processor. NZXT CAM relies on Windows' clock reporting, which is passed through the motherboard and reflects the machine's available speeds at that instant.

Yes, RM is displaying the accurate clock speeds and voltage. I don’t think it should be running at 3.6 GHz when idle.

They might refresh at varying speeds. When one is loaded before the other, each updates once per second, but because they start at different times, the first app could look out of sync compared to the other.

Verified, HWiNFO displays identical temperatures as Ryzen Master, whereas CAM shows a 15-degree variation between the two.

CAM monitors the CPU package temperature and shows it as CPU temperature, whereas RM checks the CPU core temperature but not the package or die temperature.
