Hello there. Over the past few months I've faced several problems with desktop background icons: - All icons shifting to the left side of the left monitor disrupting my setup. - Occasionally some icons vanishing unexpectedly. - The icon images turning into a blank paper icon instead of their intended picture. - Even after removing an icon and replacing it, the result remains the same blank image. - The labels appearing strange or incorrect. These issues haven't caused major trouble for me, they happen infrequently but are becoming increasingly bothersome. Note: Once the icons move left, they usually resolve themselves after a few restarts. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out. Thanks!

It seems the steam icon appeared as it did before you removed it and replaced it with a new version.

I meant to change the folder between drives, but it seems I didn’t. Do you have an older hard drive or solid-state storage device?

I previously had only a 1 terabyte hard disk drive, but later upgraded to a 500 gigabyte solid-state drive and copied the old drive onto it. I formatted the original drive and now use it as a backup storage option.

Steam runs on the SSD yet uses a different Steam library folder on the HDD for games. The majority of other applications are placed on the C: drive, though I also have a backup program files directory.

It seems there might have been an issue during the cloning process. Try restarting the application and see if the problem persists. If it continues, consider reinstalling the affected software.

You'd need to reinstall around 500 gigabytes of data again.

No, I haven't checked the SSD yet. Could you confirm if it's fully filled?
